Jenny Packham showed her signature mix of glitz and glamour for spring, but it was hard to determine a point of view given her disparate moods for evening: bohemian, flamenco, seduction and even tennis. There were certainly some beautiful, slender, long-sleeve embellished gowns, as well as sequined wide trousers and beaded illusion tulle tops. But two looks stood out — one, an amusing relief from all the standard red carpet fare: a “Gone With the Wind” pouf of white and and pink, which the show notes described as, “rosa pink glitter flock tulle off-the-shoulder ruffle gown with flamenco pink and vermilion ombré woven embellishments.” If that sounds like a bit much, Packham toned it all down with a sweeping but simple gown in a Calder-inspired black-and-ivory print.
