Rosetta Getty is quickly becoming known for her minimal yet luxurious collections offering an intricate twist — and for spring she delivered a sculptural lineup that was both feminine and serene. Inspired by conceptual artist Robert Morris, she became intrigued with the movement he created in his work. The outcome was an array of sophisticated looks featuring interesting folds and draping.
Getty worked classic men’s wear striped shirting into a cool top with shoulder cutouts and unexpected folds, a draped water-repellent coat that unsnapped into a simple vest, and a hand-knit dress that tied on the shoulders to create the length the customer desires.
Working to polish her brand’s persona, she gave customers versatile options for wearing her clothes. Case in point: a jumpsuit with a front wrap feature that can be tied and draped in several ways. Getty also showed a number of modernly elegant evening looks. Although simple, they incorporated soft draping that added just the right touch of chic.
