Ana Sophia Teixeira de Sousa has carved herself a niche in the market for lace eveningwear with her signature grosgrain corsetry, which makes for an attractive combination of glamour and comfort for girls on the go.

The Sophia Kah designer is gradually beginning to expand into designs for daytime, and has added cotton and denim dresses and separates — all with her requisite lace — for spring.

Mexican architect Luis Barragán was the driving force behind this collection, with his colorful buildings inspiring designs like a mesh silk tulle skirt with bonded striped panels in yellow, brown and two shades of pink and several more traditional evening dresses contrasting vivid hues with black.

A midlength white cotton and lace A-line skirt and matching crop top hand embroidered in Portugal, where the designer’s family is from, made for a fresh, elegant proposition for a summer’s day.
