A neutral color palette combined with fabrics infused with a nature feel contributed to the serene, relaxed attitude of Shaina Mote’s pretty collection. For spring, the designer continued to expand her offering of reinvented and reproportioned timeless staples. Her signature twisted motifs infused a charming sense of movement into a range of shirts and dresses, including an easy-chic style crafted from high-end Japanese cotton, while other pants and asymmetric tops were pleated through a special technique developed in Los Angeles. The designer headed to Peru to manufacture the range of organic cotton knits, such as a wrap sweater and a polo shirt-inspired sweater. Mote also introduced a quintessential urban mood in the collection via deconstructed suits featuring pants with elastic waistbands and soft tailored jackets, as well as a pinstriped jumpsuit with a twisted motif on the front.
