The designer dedicated a collection to royal courtesan Madame de Pompadour after moving into the building where she lived as a young woman.
It was a bittersweet night as friends and colleagues of the late designer Azzedine Alaïa celebrated the opening of the first Maison Alaïa flagship in London.
“Alaïa Livre de Collection” includes photographs of the designer’s summer 1992 runway show with models Christy Turlington Burns and Naomi Campbell.
In addition to appearing in Linda Farrow’s spring campaign, Jnifen has another relatively new role as a Fashion 4 Development Goodwill ambassador.
A press preview for the upcoming “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” exhibition is scheduled for Feb. 26 in Rome.
The next ready-to-wear and accessories collections will be presented in January and March.
“The Couturier” will run from May 10 to Oct. 7 at the museum.
