Chinese consumers are showing interest in both disruptive and historic watchmaking sides of Ulysse Nardin, says CEO Patrick Pruniaux.
The Swiss luxury watch maker held a Zoom meeting with skippers competing in the Vendée Globe solo sailing race.
The coronavirus crisis could have a “ripple effect over the next several years,” said Patrick Pruniaux, ceo of the Kering-owned labels.
The ceo of the Kering-owned label has been focusing on tight relations with clients.
The lab is based on the Kering watchmaking campus in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and will focus on carbon, steel and recycled materials.
Albert Bensoussan has left after five years to pursue personal projects, the French luxury group said.
“The market is going toward more sporty watches,” noted Patrick Pruniaux, the label’s chief executive officer.
The executive will maintain his chief executive officer role at fellow Swiss watchmaking brand Ulysse Nardin.
Patrick Pruniaux has been recruited to speed up the watchmaker’s international expansion.
