Maxine Wally

WWD Eye Reporter

Maxine Wally likes learning about the following: space travel, trees' root networks and how to cook all kinds of soup. Born and raised in Oakland, Calif., she graduated from Berkeley High School and went on to study literary journalism at UC Irvine. In 2012, she moved to New York for some brief stints at local newspapers and aggregation web sites — in addition to freelance writing for Complex, The Fader, Esquire and more. Maxine started out as a copy editor at Women's Wear in 2014, then moved to the Eye desk to write about arts and culture three and a half years later. She asks a lot of questions.
